Photography as my side business (Maybe?)

Photography
Photography for me began as a hobby, sparked by watching my dad handle this huge, intriguing camera. I was fascinated and started mimicking him, and he kept encouraging me every step of the way. My grandparents—both art enthusiasts—also appreciated every image I clicked, no matter how small. Their support gave me the confidence to keep going.
Before college, I realized photography had become more than just a pastime—it was an escape. Through my lens, I began capturing the world not as it is, but as I saw it, idealized and expressive. This image is a reflection of that perspective. Taken in Kolkata, it captures the nostalgic charm and beautiful chaos of the city. I fell in love with its homely feel, its imperfect symmetry.
I’m drawn to the mundane, everyday moments—but I love playing with grain, light, and texture to make them feel cinematic. You’ll see that visual language evolve throughout this portfolio.
